Looks like the Big N is out to put a stop to drive mods again. There seems to be some type of new drive chip in some of the latest Wii's. They are still stamped D2C however all current mods fail to work on these drives. There are also other installers reporting the same issues on some of the boards they have gotten. The question is now how effective will this new chipset be and how long is it going to take for a fix or new chip to come out?

With the homebrew scene exploading on the Wii right now it is really sad to see this, but we all knew it was bound to happen.
