D2Pro9 rev 3 Software ? Wii system menu

I have a D2Pro9 rev 3 + WiiClip V4C-3 presoldered running. When I 1st play a game sometimes it asks for a software update before I can play. On the ones that have asked for the software update. When its done updating I have a 2nd and now 3rd news channel and weather channel. So now I have 3 of each. Why is this coming up and how do I delete them?

there called dupe channels they come from updates from backups(i think mostly foreign ones) you should take off the updates from your backups before burning them
you can get rid of the dupe channels with duplicate channel remover homebrew app which you can download here

In addition to the Duplicate Channel Remover you are going to also need the SemiBrick Fix. NEVER UPDATE OUT OF REGION GAMES. If you are not sure if the game is from another region run WiiUR on the ISO first.

So when you get dupe channels you also get semi-bricked? I didnt know that you got both of those conditions together.

pebls123 I am on an Imac. Do you know of a mac version of duplicate channel remover?

dCiSo I am using Wiijunkies to change the region code to US. Is this the a similar program to SemiBrick your talking about?

If I have to I cam use my Vmware in windows and then copy the Iso back to the Mac side correct?

The Duplicate Channel Remover is ran from the Wii so MAC or PC should make no difference. As for Wiijunkies it does nothing at all to the Updates you can load VM and run WiiUR and copy the ISO back to the host and burn. Or if you dont want to use the update remover install the HOmebrew channel and boot all your games via GeckoOS and you will not have to worry about the updates.

Yeah like dciso said duplicate channel remover is a homebrew app that has to be run using the twilight hack or the Homebre channel if you dont know what these are check WiiBrew
