I read while back what a good CD player the PSX makes. Some audio enthusiasts were raving about how good the components were or something like that.

I hooked mine up to an old stereo and I find that it does sound good. You guys should try the same.

The only sucky part is that it doesn't support MP3 CD's, which is annoying.

If I remember rightly it was the first few runs of the Playstation that had the best audio playback, reductions in production costs probably striped the later models of the more expensive parts replacing them with ones that were cheaper to make.

Go you It was meant to sound better than those super duper expensive CD players that cost like £1000, but I guess the machine was launched at £399 so not that for off in the first place.
