It is that time again everyone! That's right time for a chance to win some free goodies.

The contest will be based in two (2) parts. The first one will be a tutorial writing contest. We want to see what you have when it comes to original tutorials on console modding. This can be anything from how to build a custom shell to creating homebrew tools. The contest will run till May 25th.

The person who makes the best guide or tutorial will receive an Argon with Wii-Clip, Injectus Programmer and a USB Gecko

The runner up will receive their choice of DSTT TopToy DS, Aladdin 2 MOD360 or a Talismoon Black Katana Wii Replacement Case

The other part of the contest will be who can bring in the most new members. The top 3 members who do this will receive a Talismoon Black Katana Wii Replacement Case

I may go with that later on but the one I had and was going to give away donated its life to modchip research.

I may get another one and offer it up but honestly I don't see enough support from site members to push out that much money at this time. I gave away a 360 and Wii already and once the contest was over users activity dropped by 40%

I think once I get close to 1000 members I will give away the PS3. The funny thing is this site gets a ton of traffic over 200K unique hits a month but only a little over 400 members.

A few questions. What is the deadline? What subject matter qualifies for these tutorials? And finally, what file format should the tutorials be in (meaning; I can do either DOC or PDF)? Can they be a simple tutorial or must they be very technical? In regard to the 2nd part of the tutorial, how would one verify that they have referred anyone? Sorry, but rules are a bit vague.

Subject matter is stated in the 1st post and can be anything that is related to Console Modding. The guide needs to be ORIGINAL and not just a cut and paste with a few new words from another source.

Format can be TXT, DOC, PDF, JPG, MPEG, AVI, ETC... does not matter at all.

As for if the guide has to be simple or high tech again this does not matter. I would suggest a very detailed and well put together guide or tutorial since the best (2) take the prizes. So for example if you make a guide on how to run homebrew on the Wii without a modchip and it is just step by step text guide and someone else makes a guide on how to run homebrew on a wii without a modchip but includes screen shots and pictures or even a youtube type video they will most likely win out over just text.


For the 2nd contest when people sign up they have on option to put who suggested the website to them. That member puts your name in that box and you are given credit for it. However to keep things fair I do have things in place to detect cheating and anyone who is caught cheating will be banned instantly!

As for the Deadline it was also stated in the 1st post. The deadline is May 25, 2008 (5/25/2008)
