Wii Controller Speaker Homebrew?

I got the idea that I wanted a sound to play every time I turn my wii on.

I started to think about some sound chip;

but it hit me that fitting a tiny speaker into the wii console would probably not fit.

Then it hit me again. What about the speaker in the Wii mote?

What about a homebrew that runs it self on startup ? Is that possible?

A homebrew that takes the midi chime from a SD card, installs it into the wii, then the next time you turn on the wii it will play that specific chime.

Possible?

Honestly homebrew has not came this far yet however I do think it is something that can be achieved in the future. The majority of the systyem is figured out and the working are pretty well known with the exception of how a few things are signed.

Well I found the parts I needed for a built in speaker. It wasn't as big as I tought.

Ok next step; Wait until August when I will finally get money again.

Total cost of parts I need: about 40$ depending on the dollar currency. In euro it's about 25euro.
