Ok here it goes time to drum up some fresh members and get some people to contribute to the forums. For those who remember when I first lauched this site I had given away a Xbox 360 and a Nintendo Wii. Well I have decided this time to give away a Metal Gear Solid Edition Playstation 3 combo including the strategy guide and head set as the grand prize. There will also be some prizes for the runner ups that have been provided by FoundMy.com.

This contest is going to work like the original one did. The contest will be raffle based but instead of having to by a ticket for the raffle you earn them by making posts and bringing in new members. To invite new members to the forum go to your User CP and you will now see a link for "Invitation" this tracks everyone you invite so you get proper credit as well as issues specific keys to help prevent cheating. I also have other systems in effect to sort out cheaters so any of you who think you are going to make 100 free email accounts and register it's not going to work.

The raffle system works like this you get 3 Points for every new person who registers at the site, 2 points for every approved post you make and 1 point for every post the person you invited to the forums makes. Every active user right now has 1 raffle point on their account this makes it a little more fair for those who just come here to read and post little. The more raffle points you obtain the better your chances are at winning however you can still win with only 1 point as it is raffle based and the winner is picked randomly by the script.

This contest starts Today August 11TH 2008 and will end on September 30TH 2008.

So all 1000+ members get a shot at the prize for just signing up even if they never came back after registering for one thread\download or do you have to log on or something during the time of the contest to be awarded your free point.

Wow this is a pretty good way to increase the population of a forum lol. Do the people you invite get points for their posts/invites as well so they have their own chances of winning?

Yes everone who makes a post or brings someone else in with invitation gets their own points as well so just for this post you made you have 2 points and if you came in on an invite not only did you get 2 points the person who invited you also recieved 1 point.

Cool I actually won something , too bad I didn't win the ps3 but i can live with that.

LoL that sounds like a good idea but would be unfair. If they do not contact me then the raffle script will be ran again to decide a new winner. Since it is completely random it would be anyones game.
