dCiSo: I thought the video decoding library was pretty much platform independent, how come they need work? I've been trying my hand at some Wii converting on some of my old game projects (I know, not even close to similar as video decoding, but I'm still interested).

Well,

Some progress on the skin viewer, it actually is working completely at the moment, but it's very depending on the fileformat of the XML files of the skin, which TOTALLY suxx and which is absolutely unflexible!

Some facts:
1. Works under Windows - I tested it
2. Well, no preview in the app itself, but there's a Button in the Preview tab which opens the browser - on mac aswell as on windows
3. I need to rewrite the part which reads the xml file and generates the html file to make it much more flexible and usable for everyone

Well, my Roadmap looks something like this:
100 % Interface
100 % Figure out how to parse xml files
100 % Make some tests
100 % Check Windows Compatibility
20 % Think of an algorithm to make the app easier and more flexible in reading the files ( got some pretty hopeful ideas but needs some testing )
0 % code that algorithm
0 % Testing
0 % Create my own - more completed - Sample Skin ( actually not needed for a release but would be cool to show something what was done with help of my app )

greets

Wait, so MPEG, MPEG2 and DivX all work now? Like 15fps-working or flawless-working? Because that's awesome. This is great news!

I realize there's a lot of hoopla about skinning because anyone can do it, but this is why I check the thread every day XD

So what other codecs are you doing? Will there be MPEG4/H.264 support? I realize it's somewhat wasted since the Wii doesn't do HD but it'd still be nice to be able to play those files.

Well i'm happy that it works, if I had linux i'd compile a real linux version, but i don't have linux here at the moment and I need to make a PPC Mac OS Version too!

Still, if you have suggestions, let me know i'll try to add them to the next releases!
