Hi!

I've started on a skin. However, in order to move forward it would be rather nice to know a little more of what we can do within the skins. Such things like the image browsing, will we see thumbnails, large icons or just filenames? Does images show up in a window or within a viewport in the interface? Will we be able create playlists (.m3u) within Wii Miidia? Will there be a settings menu?

There might already be some answers to this previous within this thread, but I figure those posts might be rather old by now.

Here's a rather lowend interface I've put together today. The selected item (the one wich you will be pointing at) will have a slight glow to it. In this preview the music icon.
The logo will of course be the one from the first page of this post...

So far it's all photoshop, no xml-coding yet. Figured I'll just play around and see what works. The font I've been using is a regular "Trebuchet MS" size 18.

There is an older template that shows what can be done to some extent. I will make a detailed breakdown of everything later tonight when I get off of work. As for the design I really like it and if you would be willing when all is said and done on both side I would like to make it one of the default selections in initial release.

Of course, you're more than welcome to use it. My knowledge of xml-coding is more than limited, but I can give it a go. The PSD document is well organized and all the layers and groups are properly named, so it's your's if you want it.

Ok, brace your selfs. Here comes another one of my selfish and unheard of requests of features.

How about cdg support for KARAOKE???
We have the microphone from Boogie that could be used. I've said it before and I'll say it again,
I'm no programer, so it's easy for me to request features since I have no idea of the amount of
work that would have to go into such a feature. Just thought it would make the Wii Miidia even
more of an entertainment center.

I was actually thinking about karaoke too. All you need are audio (usually midi), some .kar files and taking input from a mic and outputting it back through the TV speakers.

Maybe if/when the source is released we can get working on a karaoke add-on module.

i don't know, how dCiSo handle this atm, but i think the idea with the modules would be great, or?
so everyone can decide which modules are in his Wii-Miidia, an video-, audio- and pictureview module or plugin at the first, so it would be expandable

Well by module I mean that I'm just trusting dciso to write the code so that we can easily add classes to it and compile without having to mess with the core source code. Obviously wiimiidia needs to a) have a stable release and b) be open source before that happens :P

Sorry I have not updated the thread in awhile. Have alot of things going on right now that are taking all of my time. Some Good/Bad news is I have given all my source to a few of the common names people may know out there to try and get it finished and continue it from there just encase something unexpected happens. I will work on it as time permits as well as the others I am sure will be able to handle all of this a bit better

It's been a very long term project and you have spent a lot of time in It!
Also many people is working on side projects and skins. Everybody is waiting for an alpha release of this project. I hope you and your fellows have the time to finish this before crhistmas. In fact I've been following your developments and It seems everything is finish up to 99%?!

Have you got an update of your milestones' project?
What are the conditions you leave Wiimidia to others developers?
