I agree. Wiimote Support, nice menu, skinnable, complete media support, and more. GeeXboX is just a kinda cleaded up version of MFE Wii.

Well I got an ICQ the other day suggesting that I made somewhat of a roadmap to the status of Wii Miidia instead of trying to give any type of release date. I really liked the idea and decided to go ahead and do it. Here is a list of what is done and what is left to do as far as a release goes. The Mostly Completed(*) parts are being held up by the completion of the Video code the basic are all done and working with Audio, Settings, Image Viewer, Shoutcast etc but are not fully complete due to the video code not being done. I am also working on releasing a Sample Skin for anyone who would like to start making their own custom skins. Once I get close to the release I will also be placing a few custom skins in with the release to give the end users a small selection to pick from.

Hey this is what i have been waiting for now quite some time a progress list! And i have to say looking good man, keep up the good work! Btw did you not say you had implemented usb support? ( Not that i will use it but hey just asking for the sake of asking. )

Yes the USB support is done I have added it to the list of completed sections.

Nice to see the development... Is it possible to release a skin-example/template before the release of miidia, so there are multiple skins when releasing Miidia.

I don't know what u are planning with the skin, but if it's going to be a background png with individual png's (with alpha) for the icon's, than that would make skinning much more flexible. And i agree with Dykam, if you could release a sample skin (when you have the time to do so) than that would be great!

Keep up the good work (don't do it fast, do it good)

p.s. would a DS with a custom program be possible to use as a remote controll??? That would be sweet!!!

Not just sweet... It will make it the best mediaplayer ever! Maybe it's better to let the DS-version be created by someone else... I wish I'm good enough... just starting with C++ for Wii.
