i just bought a nintendo wii US.. and got semi bricked by Summer Sports PAL... im just curious to know what my modchip is and what my wii version is.. how can i do this? (not yet tried the fix-disc)

The only way to know what Chip is in it is to take apart the Wii and see what is inside. As far as the System version well that needs to be accessed through the setting and if you are semibricked you do not have access to that.

the repad version is not working on my wii us modified. i think it got semi bricked by the guitar hero aerosmith. any other alternatives to unbrick my wii? how bout an update with another game? what games has an higher firmware than the GH aerosmith? thnx

Sad thing about this is the only Update that will fix it is also the same update that kills homebrew.

Hi. I have downloaded a semibricked file for my Nintendo Wii NTSC U, for I am unable to access the system settings menu. It is an .iso file. Now I normally use a Machintosh iMac G5. Could you please give a step by step instructions on how to burn this file on a DVD using my Mac? If it's not possible, I can access a PC but I just need to know exactly how to burn it on the DVD because I tried burning a couple of them and the Wii couldn't recognize it. That is, assuming that this file is the one I can use to update my Wii in order to access the setting and also assuming that it will not have any other internal damage to the console. I tried to open the ISO image of the repad version using MagicISO and get an error stating, "Can't find the file or file isn't CD image file". Could it be that the repad version is corrupted? Thanks.
