you will not be able to open the ISO and read it with any normal software as it is encrypted data. If you are going to burn then you can use IMGBurn. This fix is For Pre 3.3 Wii's

disaster semi bricked my wii, i download the iso to fix it, i've burned it with imgburn but my wii can't read the dvd. Please help!!!

What Version was your Wii at when you Semi Bricked it? If you are at 3.3 or greater you are pretty much out of luck. What type of chip do you have installed?

Sir dCiSo,

I had a wii that i bought in japan, and i change the region to US. which semibrick disc i will use? NTSC-j or NTSC-U? coz the problem im having is that i cant access my wii system menu setttings. it will say something like im trying to asccess fix\us.blablabla..and i dont know what kind of chip they put inside.

If you switched the console to US I would suggest using the US fix as it will fix the files that would be on a US region where the JAP will erase the US files and replaces them with JAP

Thanks now it fix! but still the other channels has duplicates. and i dont know how to remove it. i try to install wad file so that i can delete those duplicate chanels but it will give me ang error everytime i will install wad,, like error 1029......

Depending on what version of the Homebrew Channel you are running you may have to get a new version of the Duplicate Channel Remover or run the tool to fix the one you have to make it work with the newer HBC. You can get the Duplicate Channel Remover from HERE

If that does not work you can try this application to make the required changes for it to work with the HBC 9+

Hi, I was just wondering how I could find out the region of my Wii. I looked at the back, and it says the serial number thing and in brackets it says USA. that would mean that this version is okay right? Also, if i do use this version, will I still be able to play backup copies? I have a modchip, but I am not sure which one it is.

easiest way to tell is if you bought it in a store and purchased it in the USA then it is a US Wii if in Japan it is a JAp wii and Austrailia and Europe would be PAL

Sorry, I forgot to tell you that I bought the Wii from Thailand. But the fact that it says (USA) next to the model number would mean that it is NTSC wouldn't it?

Also, it would not harm my console if the console has a mod chip in it right? Will it still be able to play back up copies of games?
